Burnham Gymnastics Club

About The Club

Burnham gymnastics club was established on the 31 st of May 2008 at Burnham Upper school. The club was founded by Sarah Fiander who had left a very successful club she worked at for over 12 years to start her own. This had always been something Sarah had wanted to do for a long time.

At first the club held two classes on a Saturday and had just 10 members in June 2008. We now have many more classes running 6 days a week and over 200 members!

Over the past years all the money raised from fees has been put back into the club to buy apparatus including an inflatable air track which is 15 metres long and a new full sized floor area, and an air launcher. We have recently brought a competition table vault, a set of bars and 2 beams.

We have a coaching team of 10 coaches, 2 receptionists and a welfare officer. Burnham Gymnastics club is a British Gymnastics registered club.

In May 2010 we were awarded “gym mark” which is a stamp of approval from British Gymnastics which recognises safe and effective clubs.
The club is on a big drive now to do lots of fundraising to move into a new facility so we can expand and offer more classes for the local area.

Our mission statement:
“Burnham Gymnastics club is committed to teaching gymnastics to all levels and abilities in a safe and fun environment. We want all our gymnasts to leave their classes with a big smile on their face and a sense of achievement”.
